Richland Monthly Meeting was established in 1742 as part of Philadelphia Quarter. The first meetinghouse was of frame, built by the Richland Preparative Meeting. Plymouth Monthly Meeting was established as a monthly meeting in 1936. Prior to that time, the meeting was a preparative meeting. The present building was erected about 1708, with additions added later. A large burial ground is included on the property.
